Vuoro oli juuri vaihtumassa, kun Aune kuuli ranteessaan
olevan hälytyslaitteen surahtavan. Huoneessa 12 oleva säätyläisrouva tarvitsi mielestään
taas apua. Tarve ei monestikaan ollut ihmeellinen, mutta rouva oli
tottunut vaatimaan ja saamaan tahtonsa läpi.
Aunea harmitti, kun olisi ollut kaupassa käynti, ja kerittävä ruokaakin
laittaa koulusta palaaville lapsille. Meni kuitenkin vanhuksen luo.
— Mikä se Miriaa nyt huolettaa?
— Tuntuu ku kuolema tulis.
— Ei kai se nyt tähän hätään tule.
— Kato vaikka, tuossa se seisoo ovella.
Aune lohdutti Miriaa, peitteli, sipaisi poskea ja toivotti hyvää päivänjatkoa.
Aamulla vuoroon tultuaan meni Miriamin kautta, avasi oven, mutta hyvä huomen
jäi kesken. Sänky oli tyhjä.

VastaaPoistaSaattoi Miria hyvinkin aavistaa kuolevansa. Kiireisenä Aunen tuntosarvet eivät olleet herkimmillään.

Eipä sitä osaa arvata miten pian lähtö tulee.

VastaaPoistaTuollaisita on niin paljon esimerkkejä että lienee totta monen näkevän kuoleman tulon, hahmona, tunteena, mikä lie hallusinaatio mutta kuitenkin todellinen kokijalleen. Se mitä tapahtuu kuoleman hetkellä ihmisen aivoissa kemiallisesti on että kaikki ns. reservit eli eri hormoonit, välittäjäaineet ja dopamiinit sun muut euforiaa aiheuttavat, vapautuvat kerralla aivoihin ja saavat varmaan lähdön tuntumaan niin ihmeelliseltä.

Ehkä näki oman kuolemansa. Rauhallinen lähtö. Paras tapa lähteä...
VastaaPoistaSiinä oli kaksi elämän ääripäätä rinnakkain. Toisella kiire arjen asioissa ja toinen lähdössä pois elämästä. Mitenpä Aune olisi sen aavistanut, olisi varmaan jäänyt pitämään kädestä.
VastaaPoistaMä ajattelin heti näitä sanoja: "Aune lohdutti Miriaa, peitteli, sipaisi poskea ja toivotti hyvää päivänjatkoa.". Aune ei vain nopeasti toivottanut ovelta Mirialle vaikka tuota hyvää päivänjatkoa, vaan kohtasi hetkeksi hänet. Koin sen hyvin lohdullisena. Ja tulihan seuraavaan vuoroon toinen ihminen, kun selkeästi laitosmaisesta hoidosta oli kyse.
